At the charge preparation site of the Aktobe Ferroalloy Plant, raw materials for ferroalloy furnaces are supplied using conveyors into steel closed storage bins for intermediate storage of raw materials. From the bins, the raw materials are distributed to other conveyors for dosing into the furnace. In the autumn-winter period, bulk material (ore) sticks to the walls of the bunker, which leads to a significant decrease in the useful volume of the bunker, incorrect readings of level gauges, failures in the rhythmic operation of the charge conveyor path, and losses in the operation of smelting furnaces.
